The Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse is 10 km south of Augusta. past the Marina along the Leeuwin Rd.
Augusta does not have a Visitor Centre. Instead of a Visitor Centre we have 2 businesses that operate as information centres for the area. One is in the Augusta Newsagency and the other is inside Deckchair Cafe. With both centres we have opening hours from 7.00am till 5.30pm daily.
The locals mostly use their boats. Otherwise it is by road via Scott River Rd off Brockman Hwy.
Yes there is an 18 hole golf course. Just follow Ellis St onto Hill View and at the end is the golf course. There are some wonderful views over the Indian ocean on the way.
The June long weekend starts the beginning of the whale season. There may well be whales in Flinders Bay 2 weeks before then and they are around for 3 months.
Augusta’s Boat Harbour is open and operational. – very exciting
Follow the road out to the lighthouse and you will see the harbour about 5 km on from town
