Colourpatch Beach Studio – close to the beach and the Colourpatch Beach Cafe
The Colourpatch Beach Studio is located on the ground floor is a large, light and bright room with an ensuite and creature comforts such as: dining table and chairs, wardrobe, bar fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster. There is a Weber Baby Q provided in outdoor area with a breakfast bar and stools and undercover parking. Adult accommodation only, no children or babies. Small dogs allowed on request.
Augusta is a quiet, beach/riverside village located in the southern end of the Margaret River region, in the most south westerly corner of Australia, where the Southern and Indian Oceans meet. The beautiful Blackwood River flows past the town and is only a short 200 metre walk away, where you can fish, swim, snorkel, hire stand-up paddle boards or kayak, or simply lie back and watch dolphins and stingrays cruise by.
Multiple eating places are within walking distance including the Colourpatch Café Bar, Seafood Restaurant only 200 metres away or select from several cafes Deckchair, Thousand Suns Café or Ragged Robbin or enjoy the amazing view of the Blackwood River whist dining at the Augusta Hotel or the delicious food at Augusta Moon Chinese Restaurant. The historic Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse precinct and Café is also only a short drive away.
50 metres away is Jays Beach in case you wish to partake in a bit of surfing, kitesurfing and windsurfing, whilst other beaches less than one kilometre away include Flinders Bay and Granny’s Pool.
Augusta is a sanctuary and meeting place for two of the largest whale species found in Australian waters, the Humpback and Southern Right Whales. The whale watching charters are available from the newly constructed Boat Harbour located two minutes’ drive south of our studio accommodation.
